NEET UG 2024: Information Bulletin The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the information bulletin for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2024 on its official website neet.ntaonline.in. NEET is the single entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS, and BSc Nursing in India. The NEET 2024 exam will be conducted on May 5, 2024, in pen and paper mode in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.


The NEET 2024 registration process has started from February 9, 2024, and will continue till March 9, 2024. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam can fill the online application form on the NTA website by paying the requisite fee and uploading the necessary documents. The application fee for NEET 2024 is Rs. 1500 for general category candidates, Rs. 1400 for general-EWS and OBC-NCL candidates, and Rs. 800 for SC, ST, PwD, and transgender candidates. The fee can be paid online through debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI, or Paytm.


The NEET 2024 admit card will be issued to the registered candidates on April 15, 2024, and can be downloaded from the NTA website. The admit card will contain the details of the exam centre, date, time, and instructions for the candidates. The candidates are advised to check the admit card carefully and report any discrepancy to the NTA helpline. The candidates must carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof and a passport size photograph to the exam centre.


The NEET 2024 exam will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). The duration of the exam will be three hours, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The exam will follow the reduced syllabus of the CBSE board for class 11 and 12, as per the latest curriculum. The exam will have a total of 720 marks, with each question carrying four marks and one mark deducted for each wrong answer. The candidates can opt for any one of the 13 languages as the medium of the question paper.


The NEET 2024 result will be declared on June 5, 2024, on the NTA website. The candidates can check their result by entering their application number and date of birth. The result will display the marks obtained by the candidates in each subject, the percentile score, the All India Rank, and the category rank. The candidates who qualify the NEET 2024 exam will be eligible for the counselling and seat allotment process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and the respective state authorities. The counselling and seat allotment process will be based on the merit, preferences, and availability of seats.
