The Higher Education is one of the most important sectors of the development among the social sectors. The Department of Higher Education is charged with the responsibility to monitor and regulate the dissemination of Higher Education above 10+2 level in the UT by extending facilities for opening of colleges and Universities. 

The Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Admission Portal – 2023 is being introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in J&K State Universities (Jammu/Kashmir University) for affiliating government colleges, Cluster universities constituent colleges and government autonomous colleges for academic session 2023-24 under the Department of Higher Education J&K.
