IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam Application Deadline Extended, Apply by January 14

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the online application process for the PhD entrance exam 2021-22. The last date to fill the form has been extended up to January 14, up to 11.50 pm while the fee payment can be done by January 15. The window for the correction in the application form will remain open from January 16 to 18.

The registration process has been extended after several applicants requested the university to do so due to difficulties faced as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Candidates will be provided no further chance to correct the particulars of the application form beyond January 18, the official notice added.

“Representations are being received from candidates seeking extension of the last date for submission of online applications forms for the exam, on account of difficulties being experienced by them due to COVID-19 and the disruptions caused by it. With a view to remove hardships caused to candidates and to ensure larger participation of candidates, it has been decided to extend the last date further for submission of Online Application Form,” the official notice read.

Meanwhile, IGNOU has begun the admission process for the January 2022 session at the official website at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The last date to register is January 31, 2022. Candidates willing to take admission in the various undergraduate and postgraduate courses at IGNOU can apply for the admissions process by using a valid email id, mobile number, and the candidate’s name.

“The January 2022 Fresh-Admission cycle has commenced. The last date of Fresh-Admissions for the January 2022 Session is 31st January 2022,” IGNOU tweeted. The registration fee for the application forms is Rs 200 which will be charged along with the programme fee of first semester/year at the time of admission, read the official notice. Meanwhile, SC and ST students have been exempted from the application fee.
